A personal project for adidas Spezial lead Gary Aspden, the A. Aspden SPZL wears the name and signature of his late-father.

The original reference is a leisure shoe called Las Palmas, which has been refined with updated details like a split tongue and off-white Hawaii sole tooling for a new silhouette. Aspden used a copy of his father's own signature on the shoe as a tribute.
