We have for sale a beautiful sterling silver Blue John double sided pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England. In a medium hexagonal shape and set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John and Labradorite. A 18" sterling silver curb chain is supplied as standard, other lengths are available.
Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
Labradorite is a member of the Feldspar family and is treasured for its remarkable play of color, known as labradorescence. It is a stone of transformation and is a useful companion during periods of change, imparting strength and perseverance. It balances and protects the aura, raises consciousness and grounds spiritual energies. Excellent for strengthening intuition - promoting psychic abilities.
